Karolinka is 8 years old, she has laughing dark brown eyes and light brown hair.
The feeling of warmth and closeness builds a beautiful childhood. Karolinka needs to feel it with double power. She is a little cuddly girl who loves to be hugged and kissed by her loved ones. The best moments are when she can focus all her attention around her while sitting on her loved ones’ lap. She communicates with small gestures. She listens carefully to later recreate the sounds. Nothing is more stimulating to learn than singing – this little fellow can sing basic notes. Lullabies accompany her before she goes to sleep. Since April, after she has been fitted with PEG, the times when she was a fussy eater and did not like medications are over. She is a very brave patient, she smiles even during blood sampling. She has drug-resistant epilepsy (West’s syndrome) and a very rare congenital brain condition called lissencephaly. Thanks to professional medical care and rehabilitation, it is easier for her to turn on the sides, eat and drink with a spoon, and pay attention to toys. Meet our Karolinka, a beloved sister of a 5-year-old brother Borys and daughter.
