Would you like to become our volunteer?
By establishing our “Formuła Dobra” brand, we knew volunteering is one of the key formulas of good for our organization.
Our hospice volunteers have some specific attributes in common: sensitivity, responsibility and the joy of helping. They often also emphasize how much they receive from their voluntary adventure.
If you’re looking for people who care about others, if you’re ready to share your free time with those in need, if you believe that good builds good and smiles make smiles – join us! Build your own formula for the good with us. Share a bit of yourself with our children.

Office Assistant
If you write well or if you’re a grammar star, you can help us with content and proofreading work. You can also join the editorial staff of our blog.
If you are an IT specialist, we will find tasks for you within our online tools.
Do you enjoy building databases, talking on the phone or are you a diligent office space organizer? Our office never lacks work for ambitious “bureaucrats”.
Charity Event Organization
In October 2017, we opened the Good Collection Points. We are preparing for the First Festival of the Good. If you are an organizer or an event producer by passion, if you love working with young people, children or seniors, if you can negotiate and if you have the soul of a responsible event leader, this role is exactly for you.
Fundraising
Fundraising is nothing more than multiplying money to help our children better and more effectively. Sounds complicated?
Nothing easier than that. The “Formula for the Good” raises funds through exchange. We give our Good Word Balloons to people and they support us financially in return. This way, we help terminally ill children, and you, dear Volunteer, make our Donors feel great. Simple, isn’t it?
Organizing time for healthy siblings
Our little terminally ill patients often have healthy siblings.
You can imagine how much we can do for them. Tutoring, sports, holidays and weekend trips, interesting free time activities or making their dreams come true.
If you have a sister or a brother, you already understand what it is about. No siblings? Imagine you already have them and you are a responsible brother or sister now!
Help at the patient’s home
There are also volunteer heroes who, after appropriate training, accompany sick patients and help their parents.
This is an important formula for the good although we know that it’s not for everyone. If you would like to try and experience this formula, as many before you did, and if you want to see how the good in its purest form works, you are welcome!
Training and sessions with a psychologist will help you cope with this unique task.
In 2017, we received the Certificate of a Volunteer Friendly Organization!
During the first Good Collection Point, our Head of Volunteering, Agnieszka Smakulska, received the Certificate of a Volunteer Friendly Organization from Radosław Bednarski from the Regional Center for Supporting Non-Governmental Initiatives RCWIP Dobry Wolontariat.
Do you feel that the Good Formula is working?

BECOME OUR HERO
You can help terminally ill children who inevitably approach their passing. We want the children to be surrounded by family and our professional care. We are genuinely with them.
Will you join us?
Your good formulas. Meet our Volunteers!

I like spending time in nature, playing clarinet, travelling.
I turned a quarter of a century of age recently. I strive to make every “grey day” to be a colourful one. I want to learn it in reality, hence the idea to become a volunteer of Formula Dobra.

I like cycling, mountains and board games.
Born in 1990. I work and live in Wrocław. I am a “migrant” from Radom in central Poland. I love meeting my friends, especially over board games. I enjoy cycling and mountain hiking. I became a volunteer because I want to help children who are vulnerable and who depend on us, adults. The greatest reward is the smile of children and their families, and the trust they show.
My kind word: “A human is great not by what they possess but by what they are; not by what they have but by what they share”. John Paul II

My passions are photography, computers and traveling.
I am 27.5 years old. I live in Wroclaw. I work in cybersecurity but in fact I spend more time volunteering than at work. I became a volunteer by accident, for a while, and I stayed for many more years ? Yes, it’s hard work, but also a lot of fun and positive adventures, and how many cool new friends!
My kind word: “Children aren’t more stupid than adults, they just have less experience.” – Janusz Korczak

I am 51 years old. I live in Wroclaw. I graduated from the Papal Theological Faculty in Wrocław and from postgraduate studies in speech therapy and oligophrenic pedagogy. I work in a primary school. I like working with other people.
I am 47 years old. I graduated from Pedagogy. I study psychology and psycho-oncology. I work as a therapist teacher in a therapeutic kindergarten for children with autism. As a volunteer, I receive more than I give. A smile on the face and joy in the eyes of a sick Child is a gift so beautiful, deep and strange that it breaks all the effort and fatigue into tiny particles, leaving the happiness and the will to give even more.
My kind word: “Kindness is silently doing what others say aloud.” – Friedl Beutelrock

I cannot imagine my life without my bike, photographic camera, mountains, chocolate and blueberries.
I love the most when it snows. I am 28 years old. I graduated Wroclaw University of Technology where I deal with digital accessibility. One day on a volunteer meeting I decided to change from accompanying person to a full membership. Combination of volunteers who are full of anergy with engagement and unique atmosphere creates a kindness transfusion. Patients of the Hospice and their families show the beauty of life. There is an incredible power here!
My kind words: “The greatest happiness is a child. A hundred of engineers can set up thousands of factory plants, but none of them has an eternal life within.”

I am 42 years old, I am a Romanist, I work as an academic teacher. I live in Wroclaw. I like handicraft in all forms. I love mountains, music and homemade sour rye soup. I am 44 years old and have a degree in philosophy from the University of Wroclaw. I became a volunteer out of my heart’s need, and it stayed that way. For me, volunteering is both giving and getting – I give myself, my time and commitment, and I receive the goodness.
My kind word: “When we help others, we help ourselves because all the good we give comes full circle and returns to us.”
Lidia Kubaińska-Madej

I like travelling and discovering new places in the world, I also like people who smile.
I am 53 years old. I live in Wrocław. If my help gives some relief and brings a smile to the faces of children from the Hospice, it will be my greatest success. I feel needed and when I give joy to others, I give joy to myself at the same time. Being a volunteer gives me so many positive feelings that I enjoy every day of my life. People associate volunteering with a job from which you get nothing. The reality is different. Helping people teaches everyone responsibility, patience and how to share their work with others.
Goodness. The more of it you give, the more you get. I recommend it to everyone!
My kind word: “Smile at people and you won’t be alone.”
Zbigniew Lewicki

Volunteer
I have been a volunteer since 2017. For a long time I felt a great need to help others and this is how I got to Formula Dobra. I try to support various initiatives as much as it is allowed by time. Even though, there is not too much of time, this cooperation gives a lot of joy and energy. And, of course, this is an opportunity to meet wonderful and greatly committed people. I am glad that I am here.
